House For Sale

It's funny how when you get ready for a change, you change many things in your life. At least that is how it has been for me lately. We finally have our house listed and here I am starting my blog. Well I technically started it quite some time ago (2008 to be exact), but never posted anything. So here goes..

We, of course, have been in Louisiana for 3 years. We have loved being here, but feel the time has come for us to make a change. Mark and I were just talking today at lunch that it's time for a "transfer". I asked him if we were going to move every 3-4 years because we feel it's time for a change. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way or if it's just me. But hopefully, we will stay put next time. Moving across the country (or at least halfway across the country bc we are about in the middle..kinda) is a bit of an expense!

Dylan finished kindergarten and is excited for the summer. We received a call last week from his school letting us know that they wanted him to test for the honors program. That was very exciting for us. We always knew he was very smart and this proved it to us. It was kindof a "proud parent moment" for us! We may or may not be here when he starts first grade, but at least we know what he's capable of and that we need to continue to help him excel.

Tanner is excited to have Dylan home all day! They play very hard during the day and have alot of fun together. It's fun as a parent to see how well they get along (most of the time) and to see their imaginations and how they can pretend and understand each other. I love being a mother! Tanner is also very smart! I have to keep reminding myself that he's only 3. Sometimes we treat him like he's 5, but he acts like he's 3. He talks as good as Dylan, is almost as tall as Dylan, has the same shoe size as Dylan, but weighs 7 lbs more! So, you see, it's easy to forget he's only 3! He will be 4 in July.

Mark and I are also doing well. We are excited for the next chapter in our life! We are planning our move, but still trying to take time to enjoy being here. I have loved living near my family. It's really been a great experience. We have both enjoyed our callings (or assignments) at church and have seen how they have and are helping us change. We are so blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ and are greatful for a loving Heavenly Father that leads and guides us every day! We truly feel blessed to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

I know this post has been a little all over the place, but isn't that how first time bloggers are? I hope I'm not the only one. But I do have alot on my mind these days and I guess I could keep going...I have plenty more to say, but I will stop for now. I am going to TRY and post some pictures of our house that I took today. I took them with my cell phone so they are not the best quality, but are still okay. Until next time.....

Yaaay! Hope on that blog bandwagon! Loved it. And the house looks FANTASTIC. Sad I will probably never see it in real life now, but I think I'll take the trade off (you guys coming out here!) Love you all!

Thanks Lacey! Yes I'm happy to be on the bandwagon! I hope I can keep it up. It's actually kindof fun since I think I have a little bit figured out. I think ready your and Chrissy's blog has inspired me to start my own. I should have really started it a few years ago but I guess I thought that's what facebook was for. But now I will be able to have some documentation on my life I guess. Can't wait to see y'all! Love ya!

So I was reading my blog to Mark and he said they wanted Dylan to go into the honors program not gifted program. I don't really know what the difference is.
